I trained as a musical theatre performer at both The University of Michigan and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and graduated from NYU with a BFA in Acting. I enjoyed a flourishing career as an actor and singer in New York City and performed in musicals across the country, including two productions of Grease with my husband Matt, playing the cute and complicated lovebirds, Sandy & Danny. Awww... Besides my stage work, my performance in the comedy feature, The Pact earned me a “Best Actress” win at the NYC Independent Film Festival. As a stand-up comic, I performed in NYC at Caroline’s, Comedy Cellar, and Gotham... and in L.A. at The Comedy Store, The Improv, and Flappers in Burbank. I also trained in improv at The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Second City. Most of the 10 years I lived in Pennsylvania were spent popping out babies and helping them grow into super cool people. However, I did find the time to write and perform two one-woman shows, Baby Talk & It’s Been a Mom Day, which chronicled my experience of motherhood through songs and puppetry! Since moving to L.A. I have been a producer on two films, Face 2 Face and Harper Finch. I have also written several TV pilots, and continue to write and develop television scripts and film projects with Matt Toronto, my husband and collaborator. Our pilot script, MOVE ON, was a quarter-finalist in The 2016 Page Awards, and a TOP TEN finalist in the 2016 Launch Pad Pilots Competition.
